Born in New Brunswick, New Jersey, Robert Piersanti grew up in South River, NJ. He quickly was fascinated by famous legendary imagery that surrounded him. These landmarks were the driving force behind his amazing illustrations that led him to fame. Vintage movie theaters, classic luncheonettes, comic shops, candy stores are just a few examples of these key motivating places.
Formally known for his editorial illustrations, Jersey City artist, Piersanti had his breakthrough gigs with Entertainment Weekly, New Yorker Magazine, New York Daily News, New York Press, and various other publications. Additional work followed, with book and CD covers, advertising assignments, and radio station promotional art.. Robert paints full time and his work has been shown everywhere from Manhattan to Jersey City to Milan, Italy.
Please check out his Website for more information on him and his work.
A special thanks to Glen, owner of Glen Goldbaum hair salon in Red Bank, New Jersey for introducing me to this artist.
